Audie Tarpley is an Indianapolis executive who serves as president and owner of the Dillon Construction Group. He oversees business development and the design, estimating, and management of diverse projects. Audie Tarpley’s successfully completed projects include the 208-unit Quarry Luxury Apartments, where he oversaw the entire design-build process, including entitlement and construction. He has also overseen the development of a 150,000-square-foot, class A headquarters for Lids and a five-story, 135,000-square-foot headquarters for Merchants Bank.
Mr. Tarpley previously served as director of construction with Bear Creek Capital, LLC, in Cincinnati, where he oversaw in-depth property acquisition, entitlement, design, and construction processes. Responsible for budget performance and meeting investor expectations, he decreased costs significantly through value engineering and design improvements. His efforts also decreased the development schedule from 24 months to 16 months.
In the early 2000s, Mr. Tarpley guided Muir Doran Construction, where he oversaw the redevelopment of the Woodbury Commons and Silver Lake Village communities. This high-profile project included an Urban Main Street retail center in St. Anthony, as well as a Wal-Mart-anchored retail center in Woodbury. He successfully engaged with local government agencies in arranging entitlements and crafted a capital-providing tax increment financing district.
